Hi Bev,  Just wanted to drop you a quick note to say THANK YOU!  We are in LOVE with Dexter :-)  She is 4 months now and SO MUCH FUN!  Everyone we meet falls in love with her.  We had a couple of 80 (and even 90) degree days recently, and she follows the boys in the water and pretty much everywhere.  We had absolutely no problems with crate training, and she is in good health.  She was 33 lbs on her 4th birthday!  We are thinking she is going to be BIG?   Thanks a million!    Christina

Dear Bev,    Iggie (short for Isabella Goldie) is a LOVELY girl. Her personality is PERFECT; she has fit into our family ideally. I can't believe how she grows! She is now, at 3 and a half months, 20 pounds. Her tail used to be a little scrap! She is beautiful! Everyone loves her. When I walk her with our three others, they are on-leash and she is off-leash and follows along. She's not a run-away-type dog. I pick my daughter up at school, and all the kids don't bother her a bit, nor the playground noise. She's crate-trained when we're gone, and also learned to use the dog door in no time.
I never thought I'd see it but she even gets our 11 year old Boston terrier
 alpha mal
e to play with her! The first time I saw her harassing him so hard-core I thought he was going to rip her throat, but he loves it! (He would never admit it to anyone, which makes it funnier.) No one can resist this dog!  We're in puppy socialization classes and I have all summer to enjoy her. We've all fallen hard, especially some of our friends who expected something more "frou frou" and ended up completely charmed by her bedraggled bedheadedness.    Thanks for everything!

Yours, the happy Wells family                                                F1B Goldendoodle - wavy coat - Lexie and Badger

We purchased Magnolia in October, she is a daughter of Ruby and Indy.  I saw on your site that they were going to have another litter and wanted to share our experience.
Maggie is our second golden retriever, we call her the "mini" retriever because she is half the size of our four year old - even at nine months.  The vet thinks she is full grown at 50 pounds and 21 inches.  She is the best puppy we have ever encountered, potty training was over within 3 days, and we have not lost one belonging to chewing. We can definitely tell that her socialization while at Hilltop helped her!  She is a great dog and loves our older golden, Milton. Magnolia is a cuddle dog and will cuddle anyone she comes in contact with.  Thank you for this wonderful addition to our family.    The Poyner's

Hard to believe Sandy will be a year old next month. He is still a big baby. We have recently started jogging together which has been fabulous. We are always having people remark on how gorgeous he is. He is a great protector of me and the girls, good cuddler too.  Tracy

Dear Beverly,
We own Hank, Holly's male. I just wanted to say Hank is doing great. He is now 8 months old. Once I get him trained well enough, I plan to use him as a therapy dog. I wanted you to see how much he has grown, so I sent you a picture of him. Even though it may not show in this picture, he is one of the orneriest puppies I have ever seen. We are happy with his personality.   - Young's -

Hi, I'm Kayla and I bought a Goldendoodle from you about two years ago, in August of 2008.  Her name is Lola and she was a puppy from Rudy and Madison.  She is still doing wonderful!  She is so smart and extremely loving!  She is constantly at my side and is my best friend... although my boyfriend would probably try to claim her first :)  We have so much fun with her and she can hardly handle all the attention she gets. You could say she is just a tad spoiled :) I attached a picture of her as well.  She never got any bigger than 35 lbs, but she is the perfect size and color!

Thanks, Kayla

Hi!  I just wanted to send you some pictures of Gucci (I changed her name from Buttercup to Gucci, it is more fitting of her designer dog status!) Anyway, she was born June 25, 2008 and Muffin and Spencer were her parents. She is the most beautiful dog! Whenever we are out I get stopped constantly and complimented on how gorgeous she is! She is also extremely smart. She even knows how to turn on and off the lights!!! I just thought I would send you these pictures and show you how she is grown to be so pretty. The last pictures I sent were of her as a puppy still very young.  Thanks!    Jacie

Hello Hilltop Pups,

We just wanted to give you an update on the puppy we purchased from you on Nov. 28, 2009.  I believe at the time we purchased her she was referred to as Lucy Female #1.  Her name now is “Bella” which means beautiful in Italian.  We have enjoyed her immensely and she is growing up very quickly.  She weighs about 35lbs now and she is will be 19 weeks old tomorrow.  She absolutely loves the snow and our boys (6 & 7) are her best friends.  We are so happy we decided to purchase her from you as she has become a member of our family.  Thank you and we will send more updates in the future.

Bev,

He is a clown, a goof, and a very loving dog.  Thanks for such a great addition to our family.  We’ll try to send some updated pictures soon.  He is so much larger than his daddy, Badger.  Vet says he is very healthy.

Hi Bev-What a great addition to our family.....we love Jethro! He was quiet as a mouse on the 3 hour drive home yesterday. We stopped once; he did his business....no accidents, no car sickness.
He has really been p
layful and relaxed!  Last night he slept in his "bat cave" crate all night.
He didn't make a peep
or soil the crate.  He must be a genius :) Just wanted to let you know how truly thrilled we are to have him.  Thanks for the great care you give your dogs and pups.  It pays off.  One more thing....my son Rex asked me to pinch him this morning, because he feels like he is in a dream.

We'll be in touch- The Williams

Bev,

We thought we would send you a little update on Beauregard "Beau" (formerly purple collar fr
om Taylor and Rudy's litter).  Today was his three month birthday and he seems to be thriving!  He has been a great dog, no chewing on furniture or shoes, and he is so lovable.  It can be a bit of a problem on walks when he thinks everyone is out there to play with him, but he sure loves people and is a crowd pleaser.  We've actually had three cars pull over and tell us what a handsome dog he is; they are just feeding his little puppy ego.  He knows it and he struts along like he owns the world.  He is so friendly with people of all ages and dogs of all types and we know this had to come from his upbringing at Hilltop Pups and we wanted to thank you for that.  He has been such an easy puppy!

Thanks again,
Alex and Robert

Just an update – Hansel is doing wonderful! Your puppies train so easily! He RARELY has a potty accident in the house – NEVER a poopy. And if he does have a potty accident it is because I am not paying attention or we have been gone too long. In the few weeks we have had him, he has only gone ONE time in his crate! We are in puppy classes at PetSmart and everyone loves him. He is such a calm dog. He plays his heart out, but he mostly finds himself on a corner of the couch or at my feet sleeping wherever I am in the house. He is the calmest puppy I have ever known. I gave him his first hair trim myself the other day and trimmed off some of his baby fuzz. He is covered with little ringlets underneath – just adorable. We used clippers and he sat right through it.      We love him, the kids love him and the other dogs too!

Thanks for a great dog!  Strong Family, Lafayette

Hello,   We bought a puppy from you about 5 months ago and we wanted to update you on Guster’s progress. He has become an amazing dog.  He has learned to sit, stay, lay down, and shake.  My girlfriend is also working on teaching him some yoga poses (I have nothing to do with this!) He has a permanent place right next to my bed for sleeping and enjoys lounging in his indoor home while we are at work.  He and I try and run about 15 miles a week together and by using his Gentle Leader he has learned how to run right next to us! Some of his favorite activities are: waking up early for morning walks, playing with his Kong, lounging under a shady tree at the dog park, curling up on the couch to watch a movie, helping cook by sitting at attention in the kitchen waiting for the first sign of food to drop, and playing with other puppies that live around us.  Thank you again for giving us this wonderful opportunity to have a new best friend in our home! I have attached some pictures!              ------Nicholas and Ashley--------

Roman is amazing. He is SO very sweet and loving. He is rather shy, but warms up fast. He treats our chihuahua like a squeaky toy, but they have great fun. Here is a picture from December.

He is the best.  Totally spoiled.  Smarter than his owners.  Attends doggie day care one or two days a week.  People think he is anything but a Shepadoodle.   Irish Wolf hound was my favorite guess.  He is a hit where ever he goes and he goes a lot. He goes with us to get the oil changed on the cars; the dealership we utilize looks forward to Buffett coming in.  They let him in and always have a treat ready.  He loves shopping.  Hubby and I both take him out to play for about an hour every day, boy can this dog run.  When out in public he sits pretty well and is very pleasant.  He will go on errands all day with us and loves it.  I would recommend a Shepadoodle for any family.  Buffett is really smart; he can open doors, speaks on command, sits and stays,  drops whatever happens to be in his mouth upon command, he does a gogo trick which is him weaving between your legs, and he shakes. He only had four accidents in the house.  I had such a big fit when he pooped in the house he never did it again.  Potty training was a breeze.  Kong toys are the best and peak his interest on long winter days.  Buffett is no fan of hot weather so he has his own lounge chair to sit in the pool.  Thanks again

Keep those fabulous pictures coming.  I love them.  Many thanks, Bev

Hey Bev,  Here are a few pictures of Levi born 6-26-10.  He is not super tall, but weighs 65 lbs. For all intensive purposes he is a Golden Retriever--heavy chewer, loyal, super chill, destroys his food in under 10 seconds, loves water, doesn't even bark at other dogs.     All the Best, Jon.

This gives you a very good example of the stages of the coat from puppy to adult and from a short cut to a full coat.
